Safety Fuse is an "Explosives Accessory", which is used for
carrying fire to the other end at fixed / controlled burning speed to
detonators, which in turn detonates high explosives, to carry out necessary
work
Safety-Fuse consists of continuous core of Fuse-Power having 2 laps of "Jute-yarn" over the same which is provided with coat of "Bitumen" along with other ingredients, to provide moisture resistant. This "Basic-Fuse" is then treated in 3 different manners to produce 3 different varieties detained below:
Variety
1: [ Yellow Plastic ]
Basic-Fuse
is provided with a layer of paper. Then Fuse is provided with continuous
coating of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)/ Polyvinaial Chloride (PVC)
to make it Water Resistance and therefore suitable for use in "Wet
Locations". We call this "Yellow Plastic" as same is normally
having Yellow Colour. But on Specific requirement color can be provided
as per the choice of the buyers.

Variety
2: [ Blue M.L. ]
Basic-Fuse
is provided with covering of LPDE Tape with one more layer of the Jute
Yarn. Then fuse is provided with another coat of Bitumen to make it "Moisture
and Damp Resistant". Fuse is provided with Blue exterior colour.
However exterior colour can be changed depending upon the requirement
of the buyers. We call this "Blue M.L.". This fuse is suitable
to use in Moist, Damp and Dry locations.

Variety
3:
In addition to above two varieties we have already developed another variety
known as "Cotton Braided Wax Coated" also called Alisa Fuse,
which has additional layer of "Cotton Yarn" and "Wax".
(Over and above Variety 2) to make it water resistant and therefore can
be used under "Wet Conditions" also. This Fuse is normally called
"Wax Coated Fuse" and preferred in condition where generation
of "Static Charge" is Dangerous/ Critical.
Note
: Fuse is also available in 250 & 500 Meter lengths in wooden spools
against special order.
